DgoBuy puffer jacket guide: fit, fill and photo checks
Compare layering room and construction, then identify which fill claims still need evidence.
Compare chest and sleeve room over the layers you wear, then check lining and closures. Keep visible padding separate from claims about fill, warmth and waterproofing; ask for supporting information for the exact option.

Measure over your usual layers
Choose a jacket that fits over the layers you expect to wear. Zip it, lay it flat without stretching and record chest width, shoulder width, body length and sleeve length. Ask the listing to use the same measuring points for the selected size. A photograph of a large padded shape does not tell you how much usable room is inside.
Separate shape, fill composition and fill weight
The quilted silhouette is visible in a listing photograph. Fill composition, fill weight and a tested temperature claim require separate information. A title containing “down” or “95%” is a source claim, not a result of testing by this directory. Record each supplied specification with the exact option and leave missing fields open.
Request the inside and the closures
Start with full front and back views, then add the lining, main zipper, hood fastening, cuffs and pocket openings. A detachable hood or liner can change which components belong to the quoted option. Check the same parts on both candidates before comparing their prices.
Compare like-for-like options
A short puffer and a longer parka may have different layering space and coverage. Decide on the length and hood arrangement first. Match color, size and included components, then compare the dated product reference with the live option. The price here is not a delivered-cost quotation.
Write one action for every missing detail
Turn a vague concern into a request: “show the lining”, “confirm chest width for size M”, or “state the fill composition for this option”. Keep the record link and the source of each answer. These checks support comparison; this guide does not rank products by warmth or claim personal order tests.
Puffer comparison checklist
Use the same fields for both candidates. The checklist describes information to collect; it does not supply measured product specifications.
| Field | What to request |
|---|---|
| Fit | Chest, shoulder, body and sleeve measurements; same measuring points |
| Fill | Exact composition and any supplied fill-weight information |
