A DgoBuy winter haul budget, with three real references
A puffer, scarf and winter boot make a worked budget example. Shipping and payment costs need separate quotations.
In this article
A haul budget starts to go wrong when an item subtotal is called the total. This worked example uses three actual directory records: a puffer, a scarf and a winter boot. It is a planning comparison, not an order we placed or a parcel we received.
The three reference amounts
| Record | Quantity assumed | CNY reference | USD reference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Burberry Vintage Check Black Puffer Jacket | 1 | CNY 285.60 | ~$39.67 |
| Burberry Vintage Check Beige Scarf | 1 | CNY 144.00 | ~$20.00 |
| UGG Classic Short Mustard Seed Mid Boots | 1 | CNY 245.00 | ~$34.03 |
Adding those three stored amounts gives $93.70. This is a sum of reference fields. It does not establish a payable price for your chosen sizes, colors or quantities. Open each exact record and confirm its current option before using the figures in an order budget.
Why these three? They give the example different information needs: room for layers in a jacket, dimensions and package contents for a scarf, and a size-chart basis plus packaging choice for boots. They are not a measured warmth ranking or a claim that the combination is the cheapest.
Keep the unquoted lines separate
| Budget line | What this example knows | What you need next |
|---|---|---|
| Products | $93.70 stored reference subtotal | Current amounts for the selected variants and quantities |
| Domestic freight | Not quoted | A quotation for the actual seller orders |
| International shipping | Not quoted | Destination, route, packed weight and dimensions |
| Payment and conversion | Not quoted | Current funding and checkout breakdown |
| Optional services | Not selected or quoted | Your packaging, insurance or other service choices |
| Destination charges | Not assessed | The applicable official information for your destination |
Keep all amounts in a consistent currency or record the conversion used for each line. Do not add a source CNY amount to a USD reference as if they were the same unit. A conversion used for planning is also not evidence of the rate your payment will receive.
What can be entered in a CNY purchase budget?
At one of each item, the three saved CNY reference amounts sum to CNY 674.60. This CNY subtotal and the USD reference subtotal are separate sums of source fields, not a demonstrated payment exchange rate. The quantities are assumptions for this worked example, not an order.
The DgoBuy manual purchase form asks for a unit price, domestic freight, quantity and selected specification. The directory can supply a title and dated reference amount. It cannot fill the chosen specification, original seller link or freight quote from the available fields.
| Calculation | Basis |
|---|---|
| Item subtotal in CNY | Sum each confirmed CNY unit price × its quantity |
| Domestic freight | Confirm whether each quotation applies once to a seller order or separately to each item |
| Known procurement subtotal | Add only the applicable quoted domestic freight to the item subtotal |
| Delivered budget | Still needs any international freight, payment, service and destination amounts that apply |
Do not multiply a whole-order freight quotation by the item count. Equally, do not use a per-item quote only once. If the basis is unstated, retain the question rather than treating that line as complete.
What to send with a shipping-quote request
State the destination, the actual item links and quantities, and your packaging choice. Ask which route the quote covers and which weight and dimensions it assumes. If you do not yet have packed measurements, label the quote as an estimate and ask what can change it.
For these boots, say whether you want to retain the original box. For the puffer, do not assume a catalogue image supplies the packed weight or proves that a particular compression method is appropriate. The directory has no packed parcel measurement for this basket.
When two quotations differ, compare the same destination, package assumptions, included services and billing basis. A smaller headline figure does not settle the comparison if the quote excludes a line the other includes.
Read the current payment breakdown before funding
DgoBuy’s payment and top-up article is dated 16 December 2024; we reread its published text on 22 October 2026. It discusses funding methods and charges. Its age makes it background for the questions to ask, rather than a current quotation for this example. We have not applied its historical fee figures to the basket.
Before paying, capture the current amount credited, amount charged, currency and any displayed fee. If an amount is unclear, resolve that line before treating the plan as a funded order. This also gives you a record for comparing an expected balance with a later transaction.
When the worksheet is ready to use
The plan becomes useful when every necessary line has either a current figure or an explicit unresolved question you are willing to accept. At present this example supplies only the product-reference subtotal. It cannot tell you that a particular budget will cover delivery.
If the quote exceeds your limit, change one stated assumption at a time: the item, quantity or selected service, then request the relevant updated figure. Keep the old quote labeled so a later amount does not silently replace an earlier one with different assumptions.
Continue with the product-cost comparison guide for two competing records, or return to the $20 product pool to narrow the item side of the budget.
