When a DgoBuy spreadsheet link stops working
Separate a removed listing, a changed option, an access challenge and a directory-filter problem.
In this article
“The link is dead” can describe several different problems. A removed product is one. A page requiring login, a security challenge, a changed product option or an empty filtered view is another. The fix depends on what actually failed.
Keep the directory URL and the destination URL separate
A directory URL controls the category, search or price filter you see here. An outbound product URL opens a record elsewhere. If the directory loads but the destination does not, changing the directory’s search phrase will not establish that the destination product is available.
For the short explanation, see what a changed product link means. Save the exact failed URL, the time and the visible result. If you report a problem, include the product title and whether the failure occurred before or after leaving the directory. A report saying only “DgoBuy is broken” loses the distinction between this independent site, the external catalogue and the agent’s own service.
Match the symptom to the next check
| What you see | What it establishes | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| The destination says the product was removed | That record is not available through that page now | Look for another candidate; preserve the old URL in your notes |
| A login or security challenge | Access is restricted in that attempt | Use the site’s normal access flow; do not infer stock or product removal |
| The page opens a different color or package | The opened option may not match the saved reference | Compare title, image and selected option before proceeding |
| The category loads with zero results | The active filters may exclude every row | Clear text, brand, selection and price restrictions one at a time |
| An old copied product link redirects | The destination changed | Check the final domain and item before trusting the redirect |
A successful page load also has a narrow meaning: the URL opened in that attempt. It does not prove the selected size is in stock or that the checkout supports your destination. Keep “accessible,” “matching item” and “available option” as separate checks.
A security response is not a product verdict
If you encounter a challenge, follow the destination’s normal access process and avoid repeatedly reloading it. If access remains unavailable, keep the status unresolved and use another record for your comparison. Do not replace the page with a similarly named domain just because it loads.
A replacement must match the option, not just the thumbnail
Use the product type and any stable source identifier you retained. When a candidate appears, compare the selected color, size, included pieces and current price basis. A familiar image may be reused across listings, so a thumbnail alone is not enough to transfer your earlier comparison notes.
The same-title shorts example has two separate URLs and two recorded amounts. That is why a title match alone does not establish that you recovered the same offer. Record the new URL as a new candidate until the relevant details match.
Reproduce an empty result without a broken product link
The query “hoodie” returns 0 rows inside Boots and 188 rows in the full directory. Both pages can work normally: the category restriction changes the pool before the text search is applied.
| Same text, different pool | Recorded matches | Open the view |
|---|---|---|
| Boots category + hoodie | 0 | The restricted category query |
| Full directory + hoodie | 188 | The full-directory query |
If clearing the text in Boots restores its products, the empty result did not demonstrate a dead outbound listing. To investigate a destination problem, open one exact product link and record that page’s visible result separately.
If it is the directory result that disappeared
Check the query string and controls first. The Selected picks switch, price range and text search work together. On a category page, clearing optional filters still leaves you inside that category; it does not turn a boot search into a search of every garment type.
Return to the full directory if you want to reset the product pool. The empty-search answer and worked search guide explain the local controls. The stored catalogue may also change after a refresh, so retain the date of any result count you quote.
